Creating custom content usually means spending a lot of time making 3D models so support artist that make custom content and give it to us for free when possible! The (no adfly) crossed out means there are no Ads that you have to watch before you download! Even if some other sites have Ads, that’s just something content creators use to make a little money to keep their sites up and running. Step 5) Click either version of the download you desire under the “DOWNLOADS” section. If you find custom content that needs Mesh, don’t worry it’s still free! Just go ahead and download that as well as the custom content you want and continue with this tutorial. This means that you don’t have to go to another website to download the Mesh that makes this hairstyle show up inside the game. Luckily here, there is nothing else you need to download because of the terms “New Mesh”. STEP 4) This section gives you extra information on whether you need to download something extra to make the custom content work in your game. This is going to be really simple, I promise. The important part you want to pay attention to is the section under “ANGEL HAIR 2.0” and “DOWNLOADS”. Step 3) Scroll down that same page until you get to the part of the page that looks like this: You click that picture and you’ll be taken to a page that will give you more information about that particular hairstyle. Step 2) Start “shopping”! Let’s say you want your Sims to have that exact “Angel Hair 2.0” hairstyle you see in my last screenshot. There are hundreds! The Sims Resource and my favorite that I’m using for this tutorial goes by RedHeadSims-CC. Not to mention, EA completely supports this! That way you can still have fun and have adorable sims without breaking the bank.
In the Sims gaming community we call this “custom content”. The Sims 4 modding community allows you to have storylines, clothes and furniture that expansions packs would give you, but for free. So here’s my solution: the Sims 4 modding community. However, if you’re like me you don’t want to spend $120 getting all of them. Each of the expansion packs I also just mentioned are on sale for $20. The base game is currently and for a limited time, on sale, for $5. They are always $39.99 which in my opinion is way to much considering that the base game was $49.99 on release. This are a few examples of their Expansion packs which usually including extra storylines, clothes and furniture to play with including their newest one “Island Living” that releases this month. It’s owned by Electronic Arts (EA) who regularly put out downloadable content (DLC) which is extra content to make the base game more fun and to keep their consumers playing. I use it for my non-commercial graphic designs. It’s a game where you can play who you want and live how you want. Everyone who games is most likely familiar with the Sims franchise.
